Milky Way Simulations

Using the AREPO numerical code, we have developed a model that mimics much of the observed MW structure, using the self-consistent evolution of live gas, stellar and dark matter potentials. The details of the setup of our isothermal model can be found in Durán-Camacho et al. (2024), and we are now incorporating more physics into our model, including chemistry and feedback, so stay tunned!

Below you can find the currently released data products from the MW simulations from the FFOGG project. If you make use of any of these, please make sure you refer to the respective publication, and mention this website in your acknowledgements. Should you require any other data/information from our published work that you cannot find here, please get in touch with us and we will do our best to provide those.
